Cherry Blossom asked:

Do you have any tips/tricks for producing good quality water drop pictures with a Nikon D60?

I would like to know, as these types of pictures have always been the subject much of beauty and interest! Thank you!

I’m sure it’s possible to do this with a nikon d60, but i always thought once would need a high speed camera? the only thing i can think of is to use a high shutter speed bc i’ve never attempted taking water drop pictures, but it seems a very very interesting subject matter

I’d recommend a macro lens of some sort. And hopefully they are stationary drops(not sliding). If they are, then using a very small aperture setting and long exposure will bring great results.

A good macro lens would be helpful, but you’ll need a fast shutter, and lots of tries until you get the timing right.

There are lots of tutorials on line

There are a lot of different ‘water drop’ pictures that can be taken. It would be a big help if you could link to a type, or the types of image that you’re interested in.

Use macro mode default with a perfect macro lens package,.then u have to set u r shutter 4000 or 8000 shutter/sec for a faster movement shots,.turn on multi shot mode set in 5 or 10 shots per second,.then start to click on drops u will get it well.
